PENIS CURVATURE
What is penile curvature?
The penis should form a 90-degree angle during erection. The condition in which the penis bends to the right or left is called penile curvature. Penile curvature is a deformity that negatively affects men's sexual life, causing low performance or anxiety about low performance. Penile curvature leads to negative results during ejaculation and sexual intercourse. Pain that affects the man or his partner during sexual intercourse, such as painful erection and compression of the penis, are other symptoms of penile curvature. Penile curvature can be congenital (congenital penile curvature) or develop at a later age due to Peyronie's disease. The cause of congenital curvature of the penis is unknown. In cases where the degree of penile curvature is high, sexual intercourse and aesthetic concerns may also occur. These problems, which begin with puberty, lead to sexual function problems such as premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction. The disease can be diagnosed by examining the image of the erect penis by a specialist doctor.
Penile curvature surgery process and aftermath:
There are two different procedures applied in the surgical treatment of penile curvature. In the curvature method, the curvature is corrected by stitching the rod to the opposite side of the curvature and the pulling force is pulled to the other side. In the other method, a graft taken from the leg tissue or a prepared biocompatible graft is applied to patients with advanced curvature. The penis is lengthened in grafting applications. The treatment plan and shape are determined by the doctor according to the patient's condition. During the treatment of penile curvature, methods such as any exercise or filler injection are not recommended. In patients over the age of 18, deformities are corrected under general anesthesia in the operating room after an hour-long operation by specialist doctors. The patient stays in the hospital for one night and is discharged from the hospital the day after the surgery and can return to his country after the fifth day after his condition stabilizes. The stitch marks heal and become invisible in the post-operative period. There is no erection or erectile dysfunction problem in the post-operative period. After a one-month abstinence period, patients will continue their active sexual lives.
